Join the research study to help validate a new tool for monitoring language processing in the brain. Research is seeking Veterans who have never had a stroke.
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS:
- Are 18 or older AND
- Speak English
- Are medically stable
- Do not have a brain injury, psychiatric illness, drug/alcohol dependence, or past present speech or language disorder
- Can safely have an MRI
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- Attend four to six hour-long appointments to:
- Complete cognitive and/or language testing
- Have up to four non-invasive brain imaging studies (functional MRI and functional near-infrared spectroscopy)
- Receive up to $l80 for completing all study procedures
