Lancaster Pennsylvania
Director
My name is Joe Dunn and I am 71 years old.
I joined the Air Force on December 1 1969, as a Pavements Specialist assigned to the 4500th ABW (TAC) Civil Engineering Squadron I angles AFB. VA and was soon reassigned to The Administrative Office where I began setting up the first computerized maintenance system. I was reassigned to the 96th Bomb Wing (SAC) Dyess AFB where I served on the Wing Commanders Battle Staff representing the Civil Engineering Commander. I served as Site Civil Engineer at the 709th ACW. Ft. Yukon Alaska (in the absence of an officer) and returned to Dyess AFB where I was injured in 1980. I remained on active duty, for the good of the service, until September 1985 when I was Medically Retired. I worked for the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Engineering, and subsequently as a Budget Analyst until my retirement in 2003.
I am a staunch advocate for ALL disabled individuals. I have served this last year on the Board of Directors for KPVA. I believe that when we advocate for our (PVA) members the results not only affect our members but many times, the entire disabled community . I would very much like to continue to serve our KPVA members on the Board erf Directors as there is much more work to accomplish.
